“The word of the Lord spread through the whole region . . . “ Acts 13:49
WHAT IS THE PISIDIAN PROJECT?![]()
When Paul traveled through the region of Pisidian Antioch, we read that the word of the Lord spread through the whole region. While in this region Paul fasted and prayed, worshipped, preached the Gospel, committed the believers to the Lord, and departed!
The Pisidian Project assists volunteers to broadly sow the Word of God and other materials in Central Asian countries like Turkey, Iraq, and beyond. Volunteers meet with local people, build relationships, and give gifts of carefully designed packets of scripture materials in the local language.
Volunteers for the Pisidian Project are asked to come in teams of varying sizes for 7-14 days. On the trip they will share their faith, give packets of materials, fast and pray, commit new believers to the Lord, and depart!
WHEN?
There are projects available throughout 2010 except for May and June. Contact the Partnership Missions office for a complete list of dates.
HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED?
Getting involved is easy! Simply contact the Partnership Missions Department and we will sign you up for specific dates. We will also send you materials to help you focus your prayers and stay connected to the project.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
The in-country expenses are about $100 per day per person for local transportation, hotel, food, travel insurance, entry visa, and scripture materials. International travel cost will vary depending entry city and season, but generally average around $1200. Other expenses would include any individual travel needs such as passport or immunizations.
WHAT HAVE OTHERS SAID ABOUT IT?
“Pisidian Project trips have been a wonderful way for members of our church to personally connect with Gospel work in Central Asia. We know that God’s Word is true, so giving a Bible in the local language is a solid way to approach Gospel work where we don’t know the local language.”
“It is a phenomenal experience knowing that you are being obedient to God and impacting lostness on the front lines of Kingdom work. Every person I have ever brought over to participate in the project has been greatly impacted. It is a privilege to be a part of this work.”
