The greatest concentration of lostness on Earth
God is moving in a mighty way in the hearts and lives of South Asians, but the sad reality remains that ther are more than one BILLION people still considered lost.
Like clockwork, some bow and recite prayers from their sacred book five times a day. Others light candles or incense and lay gifts before idols crafted carefully by man, hoping to receive a blessing in response.
As the greatest concentration of lostness on earth, South Asia is growing in population faster than the limited numbers of personnel can reach them with the Gospel. What does that mean? This means we need groups of dedicated volunteers to come.
Volunteers can make an incredible impact on South Asia for the Kingdom. Whether by spending a couple of weeks passing out tracts, a month visiting with people in their homes, or any of the endless other possibilities for volunteer work in South Asia, the Lord can and will use your obedience to bring people to Christ.
What is South Asia? South Asia is composed of the following countries: Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.
A vision trip is an opportunity to see the nations through God’s eyes.
In order for you to get God’s vision for South Asia, volunteer coordinators will arrange for you to join a group of pastors in traveling through South Asia to witness the incredible need of this region of the world for messengers of Christ. You will visit areas where many people have no access to the Gospel. The purpose of a vision trip is not to build a building, to preach or to teach. The purpose is to see what God sees when He looks at His wonderful creation in South Asia.
We believe God will use the trip in your life to enlarge your vision, intensify your burden, focus your intercession and energize your action.
Why Pastors? Because pastors are leaders. The local church is God’s primary instrument used in reaching the world for with the Gospel. Unless the local church gets involved, it won’t get done! The answer is YOU … the pastor. Pastors must lead their congregations to see not just their community but the whole world as the object of the church’s concern and involvement. A vision trip will help you mobilize your own heart and your congregation for reaching the world with the Gospel.
You mean now? Ask the Lord if this is the right time for you to lead your church to volunteer in South Asia. There are four vision trips into this area planned for 2010. The dates and locations are listed below. Scholarships and partial funding may be available for qualified KBC personnel and churches. For more details on these vision trips, check out the missions opportunities on the KBC website, or call us here in Partnership Misions.
