We are now in the middle of our three year partnership with the state convention of Maryland-Delaware. One integral part of that partnership is the special work done under the banner of “Embrace Baltimore,” the NAMB led initiative to take the Gospel of Christ to this needy city. Working with the Baltimore Baptist Association churches, “Embrace Baltimore” has greatly impacted the Baltimore area. Here are some numbers reflecting how things are going so far: 
Partnerships
- 161 churches have partnered with Baltimore area Baptist churches
- 45,063 prayer partners have been enlisted
- 73% of Baltimore churches have been engaged in the partnerships
- 34 summer missionaries, representing 12 states have served in 16 churches
- 6383 volunteers from 21 states have been mobilized
Evangelism
- 292 evangelistic events held in 31 churches
- 34 VBS in 31 churches
- 39 Sports camps
- 529 persons trained in evangelism
- 1490 professions of faith
- 458 baptisms
- 35% of the churches have increased baptisms by 50%
Church Planting
- 12 new church starts
- 4 new churches organized
- 185 professions of faith
- 19 baptisms
- 135 new church members
- 41 mission teams with 557 volunteers
- 23 demographic assessments completed
